About me

Hello,
I am Yolanda, a doll & craft maker, and mother of two incredible young adults, Marina and Marta. Originally from Spain I came to live in UK in 1989.

My life has been a creative journey through movement, art & crafts and motherhood.
Soon after my first daughter was born I discovered Rudolf Steiner's philosophy and Waldorf education. It had a strong and grounding effect in my motherhood.
I made most of my daughter’s dolls and toys and many more for presents.

In 2013 I was asked to make a doll again and a few months later Apple BLOSSOM was born. I mostly work with families in my community making dolls & crafts and sharing my experience in celebrating festivals, birthdays and holding workshops with children. However some of my dolls go all the way to Spain, my mice families are very popular there.

Though I make many things, I especially love making dolls. I believe a doll to be a very important friend in a child’s life.

I’m starting this blog to enable me to share my work, my photos and stories.

If you feel attracted by my work and would like to get in touch with me, you are welcome to do so at appleblossom.dolls@gmail.com

Enjoy your visit!
